ATLANTA (May 15, 2023) | On Wednesday, May 10, Lt. Governor Burt Jones appointed Senator Chuck Payne (R – Dalton) to serve on the 2023 Senate Study Committee on Foster Care and Adoption.

“It is a privilege to serve as a member of the Senate Study Committee on Foster Care and Adoption,” said Sen. I want to thank Lt. Governor Burt Jones for placing his trust in me to serve in this capacity. I look forward to working alongside Chairwomen of the Senate Study Committee, Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick (R – Roswell) and the other esteemed members as we address this important bipartisan issue.”

The Senate Study Committee on Foster Care and Adoption was established by the passage of Senate Resolution 282 during the 2023 Legislative Session.
