ATLANTA (September 3, 2022) | On Sunday, August 21, 2022, Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) was presented with the Champion of Music Award from the Recording Academy Atlanta Chapter and Georgia Music Partners.
“Georgia’s music industry is a major reason we are the number one state in the nation in which to do business and is responsible for generating millions of dollars in tax revenue and supporting over 45,000 jobs,” said Sen. Mullis. “Throughout my 22 years serving in the legislature, I have continuously stood as an advocate for Georgia’s music industry and have introduced numerous pieces of legislation, including this year to establish the Joint Study Committee on Georgia’s Music Heritage, to continue to find ways to bring music-related economic development opportunities to our state. I am honored to be recognized by the Recording Academy Atlanta Chapter and Georgia Music look forward to continuing to work with them to ensure Georgia remains a diverse and vibrant state for music.”
