ATLANTA (October 18, 2021) | This week, Sen. Donzella James (D – Atlanta), Chairwoman of the Senate Interstate Cooperation Committee, will hold a press conference to discuss the results of Georgia’s hearings regarding the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). The Senate Interstate Cooperation Committee has held three hearings previously to educate and make the provisions of ARPA transparent for the state of Georgia. During these previous meetings the committee received the following feedback from leaders, entities and taxpayers:
- News and information about their allocations.
- Best practices discovered related to government and agency ARPA implementation procedures.
- Feedback from economic and workforce and industry leaders.
- Statewide concerns related to public information availability and about the one-time federal relief funding.
The last hearing will be held Friday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the State Capitol.
