Sen. Donzella James to Celebrate Street Dedication Ceremony in South Fulton

ATLANTA (May 12, 2026) — On Saturday, May 16,the City of South Fulton will hold a street dedication ceremony recognizing Sen. Donzella James (D–Atlanta) for her years of public service and community impact. She will be joined by city officials, fellow elected leaders, community partners and South Fulton residents as the street is formally designated in her honor.

Sen. Randal Mangham to Hold Faith and Clergy Day at the Georgia State Capitol

ATLANTA (March 2, 2026) — On Tuesday, March 3, Sen. Randal Mangham (D–Stone Mountain) will host Faith and Clergy Day at the Georgia State Capitol. He will be joined by Jamal Harrison Bryant, Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, and more than 200 faith leaders from across the state to discuss strengthening collaboration between the faith community and state leadership.

Faith and Clergy Day will also include a press conference to discuss protecting locally administered elections and civic participation in the upcoming primary elections, as well as the recent escalation of the war with Iran and the moral responsibility of leaders when their decisions impact human life.

Sen. Kim Jackson and Advocates to Hold Press Conference to Address Housing Affordability and Remove Hidden Junk Fees for Renters

ATLANTA (February 26, 2026) — Tomorrow, February 27, Senate Minority Caucus Whip Kim Jackson (D–Stone Mountain) will hold a press conference alongside the Housing Justice League, local renters and the Legal Defense Fund to advocate for the passage of Senate Bill 414, which would eliminate hidden fees and junk fees for renters.
