Senator Russ Goodman Appointed to Water and Sewer Infrastructure Committee by Governor Kemp

ATLANTA (July 1, 2021) |Sen. Russ Goodman (R – Cogdell) has been appointed to the Water and Sewer Infrastructure Committee by Governor Brian Kemp. These committee members will be responsible for making recommendations to the Governor regarding the allocation of funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act.

“I am honored to be able to serve the people of Georgia,” said Sen. Goodman. “As infrastructure continues to age, it is vital for our rural communities to keep investing in the integrity of our water and sewer programs. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that Georgians receive federal coronavirus relief funds and that these federal dollars are allocated to make sure that the people of Georgia continue to prosper.”

The Georgia Jobs and Infrastructure Committees will receive applications beginning August 1, 2021 at, opb.georgia.gov. Applications will close on August 31, 2021, and grants are targeted to be announced the week of October 18, 2021. These dates are subject to change as guidance from the U.S. Department of the Treasury continues to evolve.
