ATLANTA (May 23, 2023) | Last week, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced preliminary grant awards for a series of qualified projects across Georgia that aim to improve neighborhood assets and access to healthy food for areas disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I am thankful to Governor Kemp’s dedication to ensuring that counties across the state, including six counties in the 23rd Senate District, will be able to further combat the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics Senator Max Burns (R – Sylvania). “By receiving preliminary grant awards, these communities will be able to further invest in the health and well-being of their citizens. Georgia must continue to put our communities first in order to guarantee that we remain the best state to live, work and raise a family.”
