Senate Study Committee on Age of Mandatory Education to Hold Meeting in Savannah

ATLANTA (August 25, 2021) | Sen. Chuck Payne (R – Dalton), Chairman of the Senate Study Committee on Age of Mandatory Education, has announced the study committee will hold a hearing in Savannah on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Chatham County Commissioners Office. 

This meeting will focus on Senate Bill 3, sponsored by Sen. Lester Jackson (D – Savannah), which proposes raising the age of mandatory education in Georgia from 16 to 17. You can read the full text of SB 3 here: https://www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/58872
