Sen. Max Burns Reappointed Chairman of Senate Ethics Committee

ATLANTA (January 18, 2023) | Last week, Sen. Max Burns (R – Sylvania) was re-appointed to serve as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics.

β€œIt is truly an honor to return as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics,” said Sen. Burns. β€œI am thankful to Lt. Governor Burt Jones and the Senate Committee on Assignments for continuing to trust in me to chair this incredibly important committee. This committee is vital in ensuring that our democratic process is respected to the fullest extent. I, along with my fellow committee members, will continue to work to determine that any and all ethical violations are swiftly handled through the committee process and that legislation is created that strengthens and secures our democracy. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity once again and I am looking forward to all that is to come.”


In addition to serving as Chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee, Sen. Burns will also serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Higher Education as well as a member of the Senate Committees on Agriculture and Consumer Affairs as well as Children and Families.
