ATLANTA (August 13, 2021) | Sen. Larry Walker (R – Perry) and Rep. Robert Dickey (R – Musella), respective chairs of the Senate and House Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committees, will host the Joint Agriculture Chairmen’s Ag Issues Summit on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter. As part of the agenda, participants will have the ability to review important agricultural updates and issues including, but not limited to, water policy and use, labor issues and rural development.
“Since it began, the Joint Ag Issues Summit has been an event we always look forward to, as members of this Committee and as participants in Georgia’s largest industry,” said Sen. Walker. “The previous legislative session proved a number of successes in supporting our state’s local farmers and continuing to fuel the growth, development and innovation of the sector; even despite the challenges brought by COVID-19. As the industry evolves, however, we must continue to find legislative ways to help this booming economic industry thrive. I am excited to co-host a platform for these discussions.”
