Sen. John Albers Attends Road Dedication to Former Sen. Fran Millar

ATLANTA (August 3,  2021) | Yesterday, Sen. John Albers (R – Alpharetta) participated in a road dedication event for former Georgia State Senator Fran Millar.

“It was an honor to once again stand by my friend and former Senate colleague Fran Miller as we officially renamed a portion of Interstate 285 in his honor,” said Sen. Albers. “Fran Millar has dedicated his life to improving the community around him through his years serving the in the Georgia House and Georgia Senate. He, in particular, focused on issues that affected Georgia’s youth and schoolchildren and was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the General Assembly to pass a much needed bill to bring additional resources to Georgia’s dyslexic students. These contributions, and more, will now be remembered by all who travel on the Senator Fran Millar Highway.”

The Senator Fran Millar Highway was established pursuant to Senate Resolution 179, which was sponsored by Sen. Albers and passed during the 2021 Legislative Session. The resolution directs the portion of Interstate 285 from Exit 30 in DeKalb County to the Fulton County line to be dedicated as the Senator Fran Millar Highway.
