ATLANTA (July 30, 2021) | Today, Sen. Dean Burke (R – Bainbridge) announced the opening of the application window for the Georgia Council for the Arts’ Fiscal Year 2022 Cultural Facilities Grant, which aims to provide funds for the construction, preservation, repair or acquisition of local facilities.
“The Georgia Council for the Arts lays at the foundation of much of our community’s economic success, and its variety of grants and assistance programs builds on the large talent that resides here.” said Sen. Burke. “District 11 is a dynamic and lively part of Georgia, and our local artists have been showcasing the strengths of our region year after year. Ensuring the continued support of our programs means providing our students and community members the opportunity to find success in their passions, and I encourage those that are interested to apply.”
The Georgia Council for the Arts, a subsection of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, was created with a mission to “cultivate the growth of vibrant, thriving Georgia communities through the arts.” Eligible nonprofit organizations or government entities looking to apply to the Cultural Facilities Grant must do so by August 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m., and have the opportunity to request from $10,000 to $75,000.
