ATLANTA (April 8, 2015) | James magazine, one of Georgia’s leading publications discussing Georgia news and politics, has selected Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga) as one of the magazine’s Most Influential Georgians. The recognition was announced in the March/April 2015 issue of the magazine, which profiled statewide leaders in business, government, politics, education, science and the arts.
“Once again, I am humbled to be recognized among such an esteemed group of Georgia leaders,” said Sen. Mullis. “I look forward to continuing my work with Georgia’s leaders on behalf of the citizens of the 53rd Senate District in moving Georgia forward through sound legislation and better public policy.”
Sen. Mullis was recognized for his leadership in the Georgia General Assembly and for his expertise in and Economic Development and Transportation during the 2015 legislative session. He served as the chairman of the influential Senate Rules Committee, as well as serving on multiple committees and sub committees. Sen. Mullis also helped guide and mentor many new and young members of both the House and the Senate as they learned the legislative process.
Sen. Mullis was also named a “Most Influential Georgian” by Georgia Trend magazine in January 2015. In addition, he received James magazine’s “Legislator of the Year” title and received an A+ rating on the Georgia Chamber’s legislative scorecard in 2014.
