Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus Honors 31 Women with 2024 Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award

ATLANTA (March 12, 2024) –Today, the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus, co-chaired by Sen. Sally Harrell (D–Atlanta) and Rep. Kimberly Alexander (D–Hiram), honored 31 women from around the State of Georgia with the Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award during its annual Yellow Rose Ceremony.

Every year, the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus, a bipartisan, bi-cameral body of female legislators, honors those who have selflessly given to others through community service. This tradition was started by former Representative Nikki T. Randall, who was a strong advocate for women, families and communities.

This year’s award ceremony theme, “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion,” was inspired by International Women’s Day activities. The contributions of the 2024 awardees include helping feed the hungry, assisting seniors, housing the homeless, providing mental health assistance, advocating for working women, and more in their communities.

“The Yellow Rose Ceremony is a time-honored tradition for the Women’s Legislative Caucus. Being with our honorees and hearing the stories of how they serve their communities is always so inspiring,” said Sen. Harrell.

“We’re so proud of the wonderfully diverse group of women we’re honoring this year. They are the unsung heroes who selflessly serve others while never expecting anything in return,” said Rep. Alexander.
