Final Meeting of the Senate Study Committee on Passenger Vehicle Seat Safety Belts

ATLANTA (November 22, 2019) | The final meeting of the Senate Study Committee on Passenger Vehicle Seat Safety Belts will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. in room 450 at the State Capitol. The study committee members will meet briefly to review and adopt the committee report at this meeting.

Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell) serves as chairman of the Senate Study Committee on Passenger Vehicle Seat Safety Belts, created by the passage of Senate Resolution 366, which has five Senate members who will review current seat safety belt use in cars and any potential steps that need to be taken to increase passenger safety. The study committee is responsible for submitting a report of findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, by December 1, 2019.
