ATLANTA (March 4, 2014) | Senator Brandon Beach (R- Alpharetta) led the passage of two bills and a resolution on Crossover Day at the State Capitol.  Crossover Day is the last day a bill can pass to the opposite chamber; if the bill does not receive a passing vote in its original chamber, then it cannot move on in the legislative process and must be revived in the next legislative session.  Continue reading “Sen. Senator Brandon Beach to Chair Senate Public Transportation in the Metropolitan Atlanta Region Study Committee

ATLANTA (June 10, 2013) – Senator Brandon Beach (R-Alpharetta) has been selected to Chair the Senate Public Transportation in the Metropolitan Atlanta Region Study Committee. Over the next several months, this study committee will study the current workings of public transportation in the metropolitan Atlanta region and report its findings on or before December 31, 2013. Sen. Brandon Beach Sponsors Bill Revising Labor Laws to Protect Employees

ATLANTA (March 26, 2013) – The Georgia State Senate passed House Bill 361 today by a vote of 36-16.  HB 361, sponsored in the Senate by Senator Brandon Beach (R-Alpharetta), prohibits certain acts involving labor unions and collective bargaining.    This was Sen. Beach’s first bill on the Senate floor, and as tradition he was given a hard time by colleagues during the introduction of the bill. Continue reading “Sen.
