Sen. Harold Jones II Appointed to Senate Preservation of the Hope Scholarship Program Study Committee
ATLANTA (September 9, 2015) | Sen. Harold Jones II (D – Augusta) has been appointed to the Senate Preservation of the Hope Scholarship Program Study Committee. The Committee is charged with examining the feasibility of legalizing casino gambling as a mechanism to fund the Hope Scholarship.
Sen. Vincent Fort Named 2015 GLBC Legislator of the Year
ATLANTA (August 26, 2015) | Sen. Vincent Fort (D- Atlanta) recently received the 2015 Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC) Legislator of the Year Award at this year’s GLBC Annual Legislative Conference in St. Simmons, GA.
