Update on City of Villa Rica Bypass

ATLANTA (August 1, 2019) |Senate Majority Leader Mike Dugan (R – Carrollton) recently announced updates to the City of Villa Rica bypass project.

“I want to recognize City of Villa Rica Mayor Jeff Reese, other local leaders, Congressman Lynn Westmoreland and GDOT for all of their efforts to get this critical project on the books,” said Majority Leader Dugan. “By partnering together, the city, state and federal government have secured a construction project for the city which will ease congestion, increase safety and meet the needs of our growing community. I look forward to keeping the lines of communication open and this partnership intact so that we can secure additional projects for our local community, region and the entire state of Georgia.”

The City of Villa Rica Bypass project has been confirmed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) with construction beginning in Fiscal Year 2022 between July 1, 2021 and June 20, 2022. Additional information on this project will be released when it is made available.
