Sen. Emanuel Jones Awarded Honorary Doctorate from Coventry House University

ATLANTA (January 29, 2025) — On February 9, Sen. Emanuel Jones (D–Decatur) will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from Coventry House University – Asia Pacific. The 10th Commencement Exercises and Doctoral Conferment Award ceremony will be held at the Manila Hotel in Manila, Philippines.

Sen. Emanuel Jones Honors Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. with Updated Capitol Display

ATLANTA (January 22, 2025) — On Friday, January 17, Sen. Emanuel Jones (D–Decatur) unveiled updates to the Martin Luther King, Jr. display on the fourth floor of the Georgia State Capitol. The unveiling, which included new dedication plates, occurred after the 41st annual tribute to Dr. King hosted by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Advisory Council.

Senate Study Committee on Safe Firearm Storage to Hold Final Meeting

ATLANTA (November 13, 2024) — Tomorrow, Thursday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m., the Senate Study Committee on Safe Firearm Storage, chaired by Sen. Emanuel Jones (D–Decatur), will hold its final meeting for the purpose of adopting the committee report. The meeting will be followed by a press gaggle, held by Sen. Jones, to discuss the findings of the committee report.
