ATLANTA (April 14, 2020) | Today, Sen. Brandon Beach (R – Alpharetta) announced that once the 2020 legislative session resumes, he would file legislation intended to reignite Georgia’s restaurant and retail businesses that have suffered as a result of COVID-19. Known as the “Georgia Economic Rebound Act”, Sen. Beach plans to model the legislation after Georgia’s Opportunity Zones.

Sen. John Albers to Hold Teleconference Town Hall to Provide Update on Coronavirus Response

ATLANTA (April 13, 2020) | Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell) will hold a town hall conference call Thursday, April 16, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. to provide an update on the coronavirus crisis and outline resources available to Georgians. Sen. Albers will be joined by Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick (R – Marietta), a physician and a member of the Primary Care Provider Committee of Gov. Brian Kemp’s Coronavirus Taskforce who has fully recovered from COVID-19.

Senator Zahra Karinshak to Host Series of Town Halls at Home

ATLANTA (April 8, 2020) | Today, Sen. Zahra Karinshak (D – Duluth) announced a series of Town Halls at Home, running through the month of April, to address the ongoing challenges Georgia families face at the hands of the coronavirus. Hosted virtually, the Town Halls at Home will serve to connect Georgians with resources the state and federal governments have approved to keep families safe and healthy during this crisis, and to allow for constituents to share how they’ve been impacted.
