ATLANTA (June 5, 2020) |On Saturday, June 6, 2020, Sen. Gail Davenport (D – Jonesboro) will co-host a COVID-19 relief event in conjunction with local leaders, Shiloh Baptist Church and the Clayton County Health Department. Free drive-thru COVID-19 testing will be available for members of the community. Masks and gloves will be provided for those in attendance, as well as complimentary food boxes for the first 100 families.
“Furthering access to COVID-19 testing is a critical step toward reducing the number of positive cases throughout the state,” said Sen. Davenport. “Community outreach is a key component in ensuring residents have the necessary resources to keep themselves and their families healthy. I commend the Clayton County Health Department and Shiloh Baptist Church for their proactive outreach efforts. I would like to thank my fellow co-hosts, Rep. Demetrius Douglas, Rep. Sandra Scott and Commissioner Felecia Franklin Warner for their tireless efforts throughout this pandemic, as well as Ms. Janice Dixon and Community Outreach in Action, Inc. for providing food boxes.”
