ATLANTA (August 5, 2020) | Today, Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick (R – Marietta) joined Governor Brian P. Kemp for the final signing of bills for the 2020 legislative session. In total, the session saw the passage of 342 bills and resolutions, including local and general, 11 of which were legislation carried or sponsored by Sen. Kirkpatrick.

Senator Ed Harbison to Host Press Conference to Discuss Georgia Unemployment Benefits

ATLANTA (August 4, 2020) | Sen. Ed Harbison (D – Columbus) will host a press conference on Wednesday, August 5 to discuss the Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will be held in Columbus, GA and Sen. Harbison will outline his concerns with the GDOL’s handling of increased unemployment claims.

Sen. John Albers to Hold Teleconference Town Hall to Provide Update on Education and Coronavirus Response

 ATLANTA (July 28, 2020) | Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell) will hold a town hall conference call Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. to provide an update on the coronavirus crisis and how Fulton County Schools plan to begin the school year.  Sen. Senator Donzella James to Sponsor “Peace Road 2020: Reconciling All People” Visit to Atlanta

ATLANTA (July 28, 2020) | Sen. Donzella James (D – Atlanta) announced today that she is sponsoring the “Peace Road 2020: Reconciling All People” tour stop at the Georgia State Capitol. A press conference will be held on August 5 at 11 a.m. on the South Wing Capitol Steps, with a ceremony in Liberty Plaza to follow. The tour is being hosted by the Universal Peace Federation and supported by the American Clergy Leadership Conference of Georgia.
