Senator Fort to Host Candlelight Vigil for Lives Lost Due to Grady Dialysis Closure

WHAT:           State Sen. Vincent Fort (D-Atlanta) will join the Grady Coalition, Atlanta Building Leadership for Empowerment and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees for a candlelight vigil at Emory’s Candler Road Dialysis Center.  The vigil will honor the three dialysis patients that died after the Grady dialysis clinic closed and address Emory’s role in the closure.

“It’s a shame that three Grady dialysis patients died,” said Sen. Fort.  “Emory should address this issue and take in any patient that needs care.”
