ATLANTA (May 1, 2018) | The Georgia Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Sen. Burt Jones (R –Jackson) received an “A+” grade on their legislative scorecard.
“I want to thank the Chamber for this recognition,” said Sen. Jones. “Their legislative priorities which focused on bringing businesses to Georgia, increasing access to health and addressing the needs of rural Georgia aligned with what I strived to achieve this session. I look forward to working with the Chamber and my colleagues next year to bring additional economic development to middle and rural Georgia and securing our place as the number one state in which to do business again.”
The Chamber assigns grades based on a legislator’s support of its 12 legislative priorities which focus on issues important to the business community such as economic development, education, health care and employment, among others. Sen. Jones received an “A+” grade for his support of the majority of the Chamber’s priorities that passed in the Georgia General Assembly.
