Sen. William Ligon Releases Statement on Mayor Giuliani’s Positive COVID-19 Diagnosis

ATLANTA (December 6, 2020) | Today, Sen. William Ligon (R – Brunswick) released the following statement after today’s announcement of Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis:

“Earlier this afternoon, we were made aware that Mayor Rudy Giuliani had received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19. Last Thursday, December 3rd, Mayor Giuliani was present to provide testimony at a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearing, where he was in close proximity to senators, Senate staff, members of the media and the general public. Out of an abundance of caution, we want to encourage those who came into close contact with Mayor Giuliani to take every precaution and follow all requisite guidelines to ensure their health and safety.”
