ATLANTA (February 9, 2016) | Sen. Vincent Fort (D – Atlanta) presented Senate Resolution 809, which prohibits city and county governments from contracting third party parking enforcement companies, to the Senate State and Local Government Operations Committee Tuesday.
“I am grateful to the Committee for hearing Senate Resolution 809 today and being receptive to the idea that PARKatlanta and other third party parking enforcement is predatory and bad for Atlantans, small businesses and visitors to our city,” said Sen. Fort.
The Senate State and Local Government Operations Committee is scheduled to hold a second hearing on SR 809 on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Advocates fighting against PARKatlanta are expected to attend the hearing.
