ATLANTA (May 14, 2024) – On Sunday, May 12, Sen. Sonya Halpern (D–Atlanta), Vice Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus, gave the commencement address at the University of Hartford’s 2024 graduation ceremony.
Sen. Halpern, an alumna of the university, spoke of this opportunity, stating, “As a proud MBA graduate of the University of Hartford, delivering the commencement address to the 2024 undergraduate class was an immense honor. My journey from student to senator has been shaped by the values instilled in me during my time at this esteemed institution. It’s a testament to the transformative power of education and the boundless opportunities it provides. I am deeply grateful for the privilege to address the next generation of leaders, knowing that they carry with them the potential to create positive change in our world.”
