ATLANTA (September 19, 2016) | Sen. Michael Rhett (D – Marietta) participated in Dancing with the Stars Cobb County Saturday to help raise money for Loving Arms Cancer Outreach, which uses its resources to help cancer patients and their families. Sen. Rhett and his dance partner, Kari Carter, danced a two-step and were one of ten couples competing in the event, which raised over $70,000.
“I was honored and humbled to have been chosen to compete in an event like Dancing with the Stars,” said Sen. Rhett. “Although Kari and I didn’t win, I enjoyed the experience, and had a great time helping raise money for such an incredible organization.”
This was the third annual Dancing with the Stars Cobb County event hosted by Loving Arms. Funds raised from the event will be used to provide financial assistance for those living with cancer.
