ATLANTA (August 19, 2020) | Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan recently appointed Sen. Lindsey Tippins (R – Marietta) to serve as a member of the Senate Educating Adult Students Study Committee.
“Expanding access for adults to further their education is a critical step in maintaining a well-rounded workforce in Georgia,” said Sen. Tippins. “I was proud to stand with members on both sides of the aisle in support of this initiative, and I am looking forward to working with members of this committee to provide expanded learning opportunities for Georgians.”
The Senate Educating Adult Students Study Committee was created by the passage of Senate Resolution 1035. There are seven members of this committee, four of which are members of the Georgia Senate. Other Senators appointed to serve on this committee are as follows:
Sen. P.K. Martin, Chairman (R – Lawrenceville)
Sen. Lester Jackson (D – Savannah)
Sen. Tonya Anderson (D – Lithonia)
The Senate Educating Adult Students Study Committee was created by the passage of Senate Resolution 1035 with the purpose of exploring methods for increasing access to educational opportunities for adults aged 21 and over.
