Sen. John Albers Releases Statement on Actions at the U.S. Capitol

ATLANTA (January 8, 2021) | Sen. John Albers (R – Alpharetta) released the following statement on recent protests at the U.S. Capitol:

“Enough bad behavior!

The past 9 months have brought out the best and worst in our fellow Americans. I was inspired by the selfless acts of ordinary people in our state doing extraordinary things to help each other during a pandemic. It was a true reflection of the American spirit.

In the summer, we watched peaceful protests turn into riots, looting and violence. Now we are seeing threats to those running our elections and storming the U.S. Capitol.

Let me be very clear – YOU ARE WRONG if you are resorting to these illegal activities. This unlawful behavior and action is un-American and a disgrace.

Our Military and First Responders have sacrificed and laid down their lives to provide freedom and liberty. Let’s honor them with a civil discourse and remember we are all Americans and set a good example for our future generations.”
