ATLANTA (January 12, 2021) | Today, Sen. John Albers (R – Alpharetta) received his Senate committee assignments for the 2021-2022 Legislative Session.
“It is an honor to continue to serve our state as Chairman of the Senate Public Safety Committee, as well as have an opportunity to serve on several over committees whose important work Georgians depend on,” said Sen. Albers. “While this session is sure to present its share of challenges, I am confident that my fellow committee members and I will ensure that each bill that comes before our committees receives the proper attention it deserves. I am thankful to Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan and the Committee on Assignments for this opportunity and I look forward to beginning our committee work at the Capitol.”
Sen. Albers was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Senate Public Safety Committee, Vice Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Public Safety, and as a member of the Senate Regulated Industries and Utilities, Education and Youth, and Rules Committees.
Additionally, Sen. Albers will continue to serve as the Chief Deputy Whip of the Senate Majority Caucus.
