Sen. John Albers Receives ACCG Legislative Service Award

ATLANTA (September 18, 2020) | Sen. John Albers (R – Roswell) has been announced as a recipient of Association County Commissioners of Georgia’s (ACCG) Legislative Service Award.

“ACCG does an incredible job bringing the interests and needs of Georgia’s counties to state lawmakers and advocating on their behalf,” said Sen. Albers. “Senate Bill 249, along with many other important bills, could not have passed without the assistance and knowledge provided by ACCG. I am humbled to receive this award and I look forward to continuing to work with ACCG to address issues raised by our counties and other local governments.”

Sen. Albers received this award due to his work on Senate Bill 249, which adds jail officers to the list of those eligible to participate in the Peace Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund. The award will be formally presented to Sen. Albers in the near future.
