ATLANTA (December 13, 2017) | Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga), local elected officials and family members of Alex Cooley and Peter Conlon will be attending a road dedication ceremony on Friday, December 15th at 11:30 a.m. in Byron, Georgia.
The Cooley – Conlon Parkway will be dedicated to Mr. Cooley and Mr. Conlon for all of their contributions to Georgia’s music industry. They joined together in 1982 to create Concert/Southern Promotions. Along with numerous other achievements, in 1994 the two founded the Music Midtown Festival, which has grown to an internationally recognized success, attracting 300,000 music fans and more than 100 major and up-and-coming acts representing all genres of music on the festival’s outdoor stages.
