ATLANTA (February 6, 2019) | Sen. Gail Davenport (D – Jonesboro) has been invited to speak at Liberty Springs Baptist Church’s morning worship service on Sunday, February 10.

“I am honored to have been asked to speak to the people of Liberty Springs Baptist Church,” said Sen. “We are excited to have Sen. Davenport come celebrate with our congregation in observance of Black History Month,” said Liberty Springs Baptist Church pastor Reverend Fred Shillow.

In celebration of Black History Month, Sen. Davenport’s remarks will focus on the many achievements and accomplishments of African Americans, tracing the timeline from Africa to America through Slave Ships, 400 years of slavery, and Jim Crow to the present.

Sen. Davenport will speak at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 10, at Liberty Springs Baptist Church. The church is located at 41 Leach Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224 and can be reached at (770) 228-9509.
