ATLANTA (March 7, 2013) – Sen. Vincent Fort has issued the following statement:
“Today’s announcement surrounding the proposed Falcon’s stadium still fails to address the major issue of how much money the citizens of Atlanta will pay for infrastructure improvements (sewers, roads, and sidewalks) near the new stadium. Estimates for these improvements are up to an additional $200 million. In the interest of openness and transparency it is incumbent that the city’s administration tell Atlantans how much roads, sewers and sidewalks around the stadium will cost the city’s taxpayers. There is no transparency in this process until this essential question is answered.”
