Sen. Fort Delivers a Letter Urging Arthur Blank to Meet and Discuss Effects of Stadium on Morris Brown College

ATLANTA (August 21, 2013) –Senator Vincent Fort (D- Atlanta) delivered a letter to Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank today urging him to arrange a meeting to discuss the implications the Falcons stadium deal is having on Morris Brown College.

As of now the city of Atlanta is looking to facilitate a sale in order to relocate Friendship Baptist Church to the dormitory site of the Middleton Towers located on the schools campus.

The letter states:

Dear Mr. Blank:

My office called you Monday, August 12, 2013 to request a meeting with you.  We were told that we would hear back from you.  The next day we were told that you were out of the country.  We have not heard back from your office since then.  I am formally requesting a meeting with you to discuss the impact of the proposed Falcons stadium on Morris Brown College and the community.

Sincerely,

Vincent D. Fort

39th Senatorial District
