Sen. Charlie Bethel Named to Georgia Trend’s “Most Influential” List

ATLANTA (January 11, 2016)  |  Sen. Charlie Bethel (R – Dalton) has been named to Georgia Trend magazine’s “100 Most Influential Georgians” list. This year’s honorees have been recognized for making significant contributions to the state that positively impacted Georgia citizens. The full list appears in the January 2016 issue of Georgia Trend

“I am honored to be recognized by Georgia Trend.  I recognize that the most influential Georgians rarely receive recognition.  Parents struggling to make a better life for their children, teachers working late into the night to see a student grow, first responders running toward danger, and entrepreneurs taking a chance in the market place are shaping and influencing all corners of our state for good. I am proud to represent some of them,” said Sen. Bethel.

Sen. Bethel was first elected to the state Senate in 2010 and currently serves as chairman of the Senate Insurance and Labor Committee. He previously served as a floor leader for Gov. Nathan Deal.  Sen. Bethel graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 1998 (B.B.A. in Management, cum laude), and from the University of Georgia’s School of Law in 2001 (J.D.).

Sen. Bethel lives in Dalton with his wife and three children.
