ATLANTA (November 8, 2024) — Today, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tourism, Sen. Brandon Beach (R–Alpharetta), issued a statement following the 2024 Presidential Election, calling for national unity and an end to the lawsuits levied against President-Elect Donald Trump:
“Following one of the most politically hostile elections in recent history, voters across America have made their voice heard. Our country must unite. President Biden himself called for us to lower the temperature in politics, and it is imperative that we as Americans answer that call and make a commitment to unity.
The American people have delivered a historically significant vote in favor of the strong leadership Donald Trump brings to the White House, signaling a rejection of politically influenced lawfare. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should follow the example set by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Special Counsel Jack Smith by immediately dismissing the criminal indictments against President Trump and other innocent persons in Fulton County. The time to heal our nation is now, and I call on those in the justice system to take the first step in doing so.”
