ATLANTA (October 3, 2019) | Sen. Brandon Beach (R – Alpharetta) will hold the second meeting of the Senate Gaming and Pari-mutuel Wagering on Horse Racing and Growing Georgia’s Equine Industry Study Committee on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.
The Senate Gaming and Pari-mutuel Wagering on Horse Racing and Growing Georgia’s Equine Industry Study Committee was created through the passage of Senate Resolution 367 during the 2019 Legislative Session. The Committee is composed of 11 members and will examine the possibility of legalizing pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing in Georgia and ways to grow Georgia’s equine industry. The Committee is required to submit any findings or recommendations by December 1, 2019.
