President Pro Tempore Butch Miller Issues Statement on Georgia Unemployment Benefits

ATLANTA (May 13, 2021) | Today, President Pro Tempore Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) released the following statement after Gov. Brian Kemp’s announcement on Georgia ending participation in the federal increase of unemployment benefits.

“As our federal government approaches $29 trillion in debt, President Biden and the federal government have turned their back on our local business owners desperately facing labor shortages by continuing to hand out taxpayers dollars in the form of needless unemployment benefits. I applaud Gov. Kemp for standing up for Georgians and for Georgia businesses.”
