ATLANTA (October 6, 2017) |The first meeting of the Senate Study Committee on the Utilization and Modernization of the State Capitol and Other Buildings will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in room 450 of the State Capitol.
Senate Resolution 414, sponsored by Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga), created the Senate Study Committee on the Utilization and Modernization of the State Capitol and Other Buildings. Sen. Mullis serves as chair of the study committee. Members of the committee will review how to promote the history of the State Capitol and other buildings while ensuring they are updated with certain amenities and technologies that can benefit staff and visitors. The study committee is responsible for submitting a report of findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, by December 1, 2017.
