ATLANTA (March 6, 2015) | A resolution creating a study committee to examine the creation of a statewide cyber challenge has passed the Senate Science and Technology committee and will proceed in the legislative process. The resolution is sponsored by Senator Harold Jones II (D – Augusta).
“A cyber competition could be a pathway for students to develop skills and learn about the growing field of cybersecurity,” said Senator Jones. “We need to take a look at what Georgia can do to prepare students for success.”
The US Army is relocating its Cyber Command to Fort Gordon in Augusta.
