The legislation was carried in the House by Representative Houston Gaines (R – Athens). SB 288 would require that an individual’s criminal history record information be restricted when the charges have been dismissed, or there has been a disposition of the charges. This legislation is now headed to Governor Brian Kemp for consideration.
