WOODSTOCK (June 8, 2010) – Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers (R-Woodstock) has been named Senator of the Year for 2010 by the Georgia Retail Association (GRA) for his ongoing dedication to support Georgia businesses, particularly retailers.  2010 marks the 4th time Senator Rogers has won this prestigious award, more than any other legislator in state history.

Sen. Jones announces Golf Tournament Benefitting Scholarships for High School Students

ATLANTA (June 8, 2010) – Sen. Emanuel Jones (D-Decatur), chairman of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC), is inviting his constituents and Georgians everywhere for a round of golf at the prestigious Eagle’s Landing Country Club in Stockbridge on Friday, June 25, to benefit the GLBC scholarship fund.  The tournament is open to the general public, who will have the chance to play alongside Jones and members of the caucus.  Proceeds raised from ticket sales will go to benefit the GLBC scholarship fund, which has helped students from across the state pursue a higher education.  Participants will have the opportunity to win exciting door prizes.
