ATLANTA (Feb. 26, 2024) — Today the Georgia Senate passed Senate Bill 10, sponsored by Sen. Emanuel Jones (D–Decatur). The measure, titled the “Safe Streets Act,” would introduce comprehensive measures to combat dangerous driving behaviors on Georgia’s roads and provides for the offense for knowingly attending and facilitating illegal drag races or laying drag exhibitions. Moreover, the bill increases punishments for reckless stunt driving.
