Sen. Vincent Fort to Join Peoplestown Residents at City Hall for All Night Sleep In Protest
ATLANTA (October 22, 2015) | Sen. Vincent Fort (D- Atlanta) will attend an all night sleep in protest to support the Atlanta neighborhood of Peoplestown, TODAY, October 22, 2015 beginning at 6:30 p.m., encouraging City Hall to find a suitable solution for residents that doesn’t displace them or destroy their homes. Although city officials have agreed to abandon plans to demolish 93-year-old Ms. Mattie Jackson’s home, other residents still face similar challenges with no plans to leave the community they helped create.
