Broadband Expansion Among Bills to be Signed Today

ATLANTA (April 26, 2019) | Today, April 26, Governor Kemp will sign Senate Bills 2, 17, 66 and 79, sponsored by Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega), as well as House Bill 454 which was carried in the Senate by Sen. Gooch. Senate Bills 2, 17 and 66 address expanding access to broadband, SB 79 removes the word “mechanical” from the phrase “mechanical multiple message signs” in current law regarding messaging signs on Georgia roads to reduce distractions for drivers and HB 454 outlines restrictions on and use of electric assisted bicycles.

Sen. Donzella James to Host African Diaspora Day at the Capitol

Sen. Nan Orrock to Host Working Families Caucus Press Conference

ATLANTA (February 6, 2019) | Thursday, February 7, 2019, Sen. Nan Orrock (D – Atlanta) and members of the Working Families Caucus will hold a press event to call for policies that help support working Georgians and work towards building a state and economy that works for everyone. The press event will focus on legislation that addresses wage inequality, raising the minimum wage, provide a refundable earned income tax credit and other wage related issues.
