Sen. Greg Dolezal Appointed as Deputy Whip

ATLANTA (February 14, 2019) | Sen. Greg Dolezal (R – Cumming) was recently appointed by Majority Whip Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega) to serve as a Deputy Whip for the Majority Caucus. In this role, Sen. Dolezal will be responsible for working with the Majority Whip with legislative outreach and ensuring caucus attendance during legislative votes.

“I am humbled by the trust that Sen. Gooch has placed in me to help advance our priorities throughout the legislative session,” said Sen. Dolezal. “I look forward to using this new position to advance the interests of not just our caucus, but of the citizens of District 27, and the state of Georgia as a whole. I am eager to get to work with members of the Senate and the House to move legislation forward that benefits all Georgians and makes our state as strong as possible.”

This is Sen. Dolezal’s first session serving as Deputy Whip and it is also his first session serving as a Senator. Sen. Dolezal currently serves as Vice Chair of the Science and Technology Committee and also serves as a member of the Education and Youth, Health and Human Services and Reapportionment and Redistricting Committees.
