ATLANTA (August 6, 2018) | Sen. Elena Parent (D – Atlanta) and Rep. Deborah Gonzalez (D – Athens) will host an exhibition of the Georgia Peach Quilt on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia Capitol Rotunda. The program will include a presentation of a resolution to Shannon Lawhon of Moms Demand Action, an organization created to raise awareness on gun safety. The organization created the Mother’s Dream Quilt Project as a commitment to making our communities safer, with the Georgia Peach Quilt being one of 17 quilts created so far.
