Baldwin County Receives AP STEM Grant Award

ATLANTA (January 31, 2017) | Governor Nathan Deal announced yesterday that Baldwin County would receive a grant reward as part of the Georgia Rural AP STEM Initiative. This initiative, which supports the implementation of AP programs in computer science and statistics, is the result of a partnership between the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and the College Board. Sen. Burt Jones to Serve as Senate Insurance and Labor Committee Chairman

Senate Bill 309 Signed into Law

ATLANTA (May 4, 2016) | Governor Nathan Deal signed Senate Bill 309 into law on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Sponsored by Sen. Burt Jones (R – Jackson), SB 309 allows student athletes to express their personal religious beliefs during sporting events and enables high schools, which receive state funding, to participate in athletic competitions with schools outside of their designated conference.
