Working Families Legislative Caucus sounds Alarm on Budget Crisis and Calls for Common Sense Relief Remedies

WHAT:           Sen. Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta), Rep. Virgil Fludd (D-Tyrone), Rep. Debbie Buckner (D-Junction City) and members of the Working Families Legislative Caucus will address the budget crisis facing Georgia during a press conference on Thursday, March 25 at 11 a.m.  The caucus believes that current budget proposals balance the state’s budget on the backs of Georgia’s working families, children, sick, elderly, disabled, students, teachers and public servants.  Outlining simple strategies to raise more than $1 billion in revenues, the caucus demands that the state act now to avoid cuts that will hurt millions of vulnerable Georgians.
